Ondo State governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, has been commended for his exemplary qualities in the last one year as a visionary who is taking the state to greater heights.

The commendation came in a statement by the Executive Chairman/CEO of Bendako Group based in Lagos, Prince Ben Koya Adako, who noted the strides of the state government in the major sectors and its determination to reposition the state for excellence.

He said though there were many challenges facing the state, particularly in the area of infrastructure and finance, the Mimiko administration has been strategic and inward-looking in governance, paying attention to issues that bear relevance to the needs and interest of the people.

He stated: “In spite of the challenges facing the state, Ondo State under Dr. Olusegun Mimiko has witnessed a remarkable facelift in terms of infrastructural development and strategic projects in the last one year. We have seen a visionary at the helm of affairs, driving policies and programmes that have major relevance to the needs and interest of the people. This is commendable just as the next few years are expected to bring far-reaching development to the state.”

The Owo-born political leader further praised the governor over the mega-city initiative , which was meant to transform Ore, a nodal town in the state, into the economic hub of the South-western part of the nation.

He said the project when completed would bring a lot of economic opportunities to the people of the South-west in general and those of Ondo State in particular.
Adako also observed that the government’s investments in education, health and other social related sectors had brought the government closer to the people, signaling that the governor is conscious of his responsibilities to the people of Ondo State and a measure of his sincerity to honour his manifesto.

“ Governor Olusegun Mimiko and his team have so far shown that they are serious on their agenda to make a difference in the leadership of our dear state and we should lend our support to enable them do more as a responsible and sincere government in Ondo State. We have seen vision and determination and other clear pointers to renewal which is salutary”, he stated.
